This DJ-ing experience will take you through the steps needed to be able to put together a working DJ set that can be performed in front of a live crowd. The experience will include guidance from a top DJ in understanding the techniques used in both club mixing and scratch battle style. You’ll be shown the techniques involved in monitoring, beat matching, mixing, scratching, needle dropping, cueing, cutting, EQ and effects, and will get to try out these techniques yourself. This opportunity is all about hands-on experience.

What happens on the day

You’ll be taught the latest DJ-ing techniques from a top DJ and then have chance to practice those techniques on the latest DJ equipment. Once you have practiced all your new skills, you’ll record your own set and leave the experience with a CD-R recording of the set to play to your friends plus a DVD of what you have learnt during the day!
